Mahaparinivaran Diwas (6th December, 2021)

December 6th marks the death anniversary of  Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and  the day is regarded as 'Mahaparinirvan Diwas' to pay tribute to him. The term ‘parinirvan’ has a deep meaning in Buddhist traditions and refers to someone who has attained nirvana in his lifetime and after death. December 6th is observed to commemorate his unfathomable contribution to society and his achievements.

To commemorate, the Consulate General of India is organizing an online event at 15:00 hrs on Monday, December 6th, 2021. The program will include a special remark by the Consul General of India Dr. Madan Mohan Sethi and a presentation by the Venerable Dr. Thich Nhat Tu, Permanent Vice Rector of the Vietnam Buddhist University in Ho Chi Minh City.
