Telephone conversation between Prime Minister and Dr. Ashraf Ghani President ofthe Islamic Republic of Afghanistan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Dr. Ashraf Ghani had a telephonic conversation today. Both leaders exchanged greetings on the joyous festival of Eid – ul – Adha.

President Ghani thanked Prime Minister Modi for timely supply of food and medical assistance to meet Afghan requirement. Prime Minister reiterated India's commitment to the people of Afghanistan in their quest for a peaceful, prosperous and inclusive Afghanistan. The two leaders also exchanged views on the evolving security situation in the region and other areas of mutual bilateral interest.

Thủ tướng Narendra Modi và Tổng thống Cộng hòa Hồi giáo Afghanistan, Tiến sĩ Ashraf Ghani đã có cuộc điện đàm hôm nay. Cả hai nhà lãnh đạo đã chúc mừng nhau nhân dịp lễ hội Eid - ul - Adha.

Tổng thống Ghani cảm ơn Thủ tướng Modi đã kịp thời cung cấp lương thực và hỗ trợ y tế theo đề nghị từ Afghanistan. Thủ tướng Modi nhắc lại cam kết của Ấn Độ đối với người dân Afghanistan trong tiến trình vì một Afghanistan hòa bình, thịnh vượng và hòa nhập. Hai nhà lãnh đạo cũng trao đổi quan điểm về tình hình an ninh đang phát triển trong khu vực và các lĩnh vực khác mà hai bên cùng quan tâm.
