Journey to Kathak (26th April, 2021)

As part of India@75 celebrations, Consulate organized a cultural programme of 60 minutes duration. The programme was organized at IDECAF (Government institution under Ministry of Foreign Affairs offering courses in English and French languages). About 180 people (mostly Vietnamese) participated in the programme. The programme consisted of two parts – first one being two performances by students of Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Studies and Humanities (USSH) who danced to Indian songs and the second and main part being ‘The Journey of Kathak’ by Ms. Anupama Jha Kumar, an acclaimed Indian Kathak dancer and a disciple of renowned Guru and Padamshri Awardee Guru Dr. Shovana Narayan.
