The Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam is organizing the 161st Birth Anniversary Celebrations of Nobel Laureate Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore - the greatest figure in the modern India Renaissance whose ideas and ideals will continue to inspire and encourage the whole of humanity in the days to come. Perhaps, he remains one of the first Indian – the first Asian, to have filled the gap between the west and east through his effective writings. This celebration is also a part of CGI's series under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations as well as 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Vietnam.

Tổng Lãnh sự quán Ấn Độ tại Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh, Việt Nam sẽ tổ chức Lễ kỷ niệm 161 năm Ngày sinh của Người đoạt giải Nobel Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore - nhân vật vĩ đại nhất trong thời kỳ Phục hưng Ấn Độ hiện đại, người mà những ý tưởng và lý tưởng sẽ tiếp tục truyền cảm hứng cho toàn thể nhân loại. Có lẽ, ông vẫn là một trong những người Ấn Độ - người châu á đầu tiên, đã kéo gần khoảng cách giữa phương tây và phương đông thông qua các tác phẩm của mình. Lễ kỷ niệm này cũng là một phần trong chuỗi sự kiện do Tổng Lãnh sự quán tổ chức trong khuôn khổ Lễ kỷ niệm Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (kỷ niệm 75 năm Ngày Độc lập của Ấn Độ) và kỷ niệm 50 năm thiết lập quan hệ ngoại giao giữa Ấn Độ và Việt Nam..
