On 16th February 2023, H.E. Mr. Sandeep Arya, Ambassador of India to Vietnam paid courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Nguyen Van Nen, Secretary of Party Committee of HCMC and H.E. Mr. Phan Van Mai, Chairman of People’s Committee of HCMC. During the call on both leaders, talks were held on ways to promote relations in areas of trade, investment, technology, culture, education, tourism and people to people contact between both the countries and particularly between HCMC and India.Ambassador held a discussion with senior members of Indian Community and INCHAM and late paid a visit to University of Social Science and Humanities (USSH) and met the Vice-President of the university and faculty members of Oriental Studies Dept and Indian Studies Centre.Supreme Patriarch Most Venerable Thich Tri Quang shared his thoughts about Buddhist heritage and its role for India- Vietnam friendship with Indian Ambassadoron 17th February 2023. Most Venerable also recalled his visit to India and encouraged these linkages. President of Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha, Most Venerable Thich Thien Nhon also expressed his support and suggestions to enhance these ties in the future.
